Relational Integrative
Psychotherapist
"Earth will be safe when we feel within us enough safety."
Thich Nhat Hanh
I work with adult individuals offering both short and longer term therapy, mainly to those struggling with loss, abuse, grief & trauma.
Many people I work with initially describe feeling lost, confused, stuck or overwhelmed. Many also have a sense of shame, worthlessness or hopelessness connected to our pasts requiring trauma-informed interventions.
My approach is relational & integrative combining talk and body based therapies to work with difficulties such as:
- symptoms of depression & anxiety;
- loss, grief & trauma (including complicated bereavement, complex trauma & issues around attachment);
- issues affecting sense of identity & sense of self;
- issues affecting our ability to form and maintain nourishing relationships.
My expertise encompasses working in an integrative way with emotional focus towards different aspects of self, enabling clients to explore and integrate various parts of their identity, which promotes self-acceptance and improves their internal dialogue.
Embodied interventions focus on the physical sensations that accompany emotional experiences, fostering a greater awareness of how the body responds to emotional states, thereby facilitating deeper healing.
Recognising that everyone's reason for seeking therapy is unique and deeply personal, I aim to establish a supportive and nurturing relationship, empowering you to move towards enhanced self awareness, self compassion and to feeling more peaceful within self.
I provide a warm, supportive, confidential space with compassion and empathy - where clients can feel safe to explore, process and integrate their experiences, feelings and body wisdom in relationship with me.
